Ark survival evolved character7/21/2023 ![]() Any given Human encountered may also belong to a Tribe or have nearby tamed creatures, which only adds to the potential danger of attacking them. It is difficult to pinpoint an exact strategy for fighting Humans, because each one has different attack patterns and level of technology. This is only possible on PvP-Servers, as other players cannot be harmed on PvE-Servers. This section describes how to fight against Humans. Once the Torpidity of an unconscious player or creature reaches 0, they will wake up. Creatures will fall unconscious when their Torpidity reaches its maximum value. You cannot do anything while unconscious, and other players can easily move you around, force-feed you more narcotics, take items from your inventory, or simply kill you. If a Human's Torpidity reaches 50, they will fall unconscious. Torpidity is the measure of weariness for a Human or a Creature. It also increases the damage of most dino attacks. Increasing melee damage affects the damage output of player melee weapons, but not of ranged weapons.Attacking while you are out of Stamina increases your Torpor.Eating Battle Tartare, Enduro Stew and beer temporarily increases your melee damage.(currently bugged and Battle Tartare and Enduro Stew do not give additional damage). Some servers "clamp" resource harvesting, meaning that each source has a max amount of resources it can yield, regardless of how much your melee damage allows you to harvest with each hit.Putting a point into Melee Damage for players increases their damage modifier by 5%. Melee damage is affected by 4 factors: Weapon Base Damage, Weapon Damage Quality Multiplier, Survivor Melee Damage Multiplier and Server Settings: Player Damage.įor example, a survivor with 200% Melee Damage wielding a 150% damage sword on a server has 2.0 Player Damage setting will do 540 damage: It also increases the total yield of resources harvested from a renewable resource, and improves the chances of receiving any rare resources.īase damage depends on the tool or weapon in use, and Melee Damage is a multiplier of this base damage. Thus, a higher Melee Damage kills creatures and other players, as well as harvest resources, in fewer hits. It is a measure of the amount of extra damage dealt when attacking, or yield when harvesting renewable resources. Melee Damage in ARK: Survival Evolved is a basic statistic for both players and creatures. You can help the ARK: Survival Evolved Wiki by expanding it. (Black weight icon appears larger on survivor than on dino, and both on its portrait and inventory at upper left corner of the said survivor/dino.)Ĭertain tames have the ability to reduce the weight of specific items. This affects all creatures who can carry inventories, as registered by a black weight icon. Encumbered dinosaurs can not wander to mate.įurthermore, overfilling inventory with low weight will prevent further items from being placed inside through any method, regardless of the current carry weight capacity. If your carried weight becomes equal to or greater than your total weight, you will be unable to move at all until you drop enough items. If your carried weight becomes equal to or greater than about 85% of your total weight, you will become Encumbered, which will slow your movement speed considerably and render you unable to jump. Every item has a weight value, and if the total weight value of everything you are carrying becomes too great, you will slow down or even stop. Weight is a measure of how much you are carrying. This can be seen by opening the inventory. Humans can have varying appearances and may also wear multiple tiers of clothing and skins and can have different hair styles. Humans also carry the distinction of being the only creatures on the island capable of crafting and utilizing tools (besides the Mantis), and should be regarded as an extreme threat due to this feat- whether it be a simple stone hatchet or an array of autonomous turrets guarding an impenetrable steel fortress, odds have it any human you encounter is a significant and wildly unpredictable threat and should be approached as such. Known to tame ferocious beasts to do their bidding, humans can accomplish physical feats and acts of violence far beyond what their meager frames should be capable of. The typical human can be seen scavenging, harvesting, looting or otherwise running amok in any area of the island. Humans are playable characters and can have wildly varied behavior.
